Friends Having Drinks

It's that time of year again...

The time of year where I become a single mom! That is right. Scott's #1 priority for the next 3 months....Gator Football. I have know this since the day I met him, so I can't say TOO much. Everything we have done, has revolved around College football season. I was not able to plan my wedding for the fall, we scheduled having babies so they weren't in the fall (however since the boys were born 5 weeks early, they still hit football season). I sit here, alone (well, the boys are napping) because no only is Scott a HUGE Gator Football fan, but he has turned my girls into huge fans. Since we live in the middle of ACC country (not showing Gator football on our channels), they have to go to the local Gator Club to catch the game. Believe it or not, there is one of those in NC!! In fact, Scott was the President for 3 years! Now, don't get me wrong, I love to watch the beloved Gators in action as well! Most Saturday's last year I took the boys with us to watch and a blast was had by all. I am sure we will make it to many games this year.

Delaney at her very 1st UF event. When she was just 2 months old, we had our annual UF picnic

Delaney and Patrick have grown up together as UF fans. There is just a few weeks difference in age. They have both been going to the club together since they were babies! I think I might arrange their wedding soon.

My little football players. The boys in their Jerseys! Owen on left, Sean on right

The boy's first visit to the Gator club. I ordered new t-shirts for them, but they hadn't come in yet, but I found these cute shirts at Wal~mart! Under the Gator head, it says "Chomp"!

And here is the picture that was just emailed to me. Along with the message that Gators are winning 28-0! Go Gators! (I won't tell them I have been following it on the Internet!)

She has been sitting up in her bed, watching TV, eating applesauce, and the best part....She was able to sit with her sister, Piper! I am so happy! JK, please know we are praying for your family. I pray that she is able to come home between Chemo treatments.

IT'S ALL ABOUT TUESDAY!

Dear God, I pray for the cure of cancer. Amen

All you are asked to do is keep this circulating. Even if it's to one more person. In memory of anyone you know that has been struck down by cancer or is still living with it. A Candle Loses Nothing by Lighting Another Candle. Please Keep This Candle Going! There will be a cure. Thank you

I have gotten this in email form from 3 different people. The first time, I emailed it out. The second time, since I emailed the first time, I just deleted it. Since I got it again, I figured that was GOD'S way of tell me I have not spread the word enough. So now, I am posting it here!

Don't forget about the fundraisers for the Whitt family! The Beautiful painting (that I blogged about below) and the tutu is still up for grabs.

Most importantly, don't forget to go over The Whitt's family Blog to leave them a little prayer and/or words of encouragement. You can either follow the link above or there is a button on the right of my blog. We have had great news this week! Little Tuesday is off the vent, out of PICU and back to the regular oncology floor! God is working in amazing ways!

An 11 year old's view of the 80's

Our neighbor was having birthday party last weekend. The theme? 80's. This is what Jess and her friend came up with. (Jess in the boa) Someone should explain to them that Hannah Montana and The Jonas Brothers weren't even born in the 80's!

Don't forget to head over to Candid Carries to see who else is playing!!

A must read...

Sharlene at DOUBLE THE ADVENTURE has just gotten home from a long weekend with the Whitt's. She has written a beautiful recap of what it is like to see this family struggle with the horrible disease! Please go over and read it. Warning: have a tissue ready!! Great job Sharlene

Also an update on the bracelet fundraiser. There is a winner! Rose Earnshaw! We truly have amazing readers. This fundraiser raised almost $400! Thank~you to everyone who donated. Keep watching, there just may be another auction!!

First day of Pre-K and already homework!

Monday was Delaney's first day of pre-k. I can't believe one more year and my baby girl will be in Kindergarten! Where does the time go? She was pretty comfortable going in, since she has been at the same school since she was 2 1/2.

On her first day, she was given a project to decorate a paperdoll to look like her. We cut up a shirt that was too small and made a dress for her doll. I made her a little necklace and Delaney drew the face, hair and no girl is complete without pink fingernails.

And the finished project...

Way Back WHEN~esday

Since this week was back to Pre-K for Delaney, I thought I would post her very first pictures of preschool. She was just 2 years old, but I thought that since I was having twins, it would be good for her. School was supposed to start in September. I was glad to be getting a month or so without kids home (The older ones were in school) I could get a few last minute things done. Well, the school was new and the opening date was pushed back until Nov. 1. I wasn't due until Dec. 6th, but with twins, you just never know! Guess when the boys were born? Nov 4th! Since she was only going MWF that meant I only got 2 days! 2 Stinkin' days!

It's all about Tuesday!

**updated to add picture and deadline for the bracelet auction**
Tuesday has started her second round of Chemo. She needs lots of prayers right now. There is good news. She has started passing the fluids she was retaining. But best of all, her parents have been able to hold her! After two long weeks of not being able to hold their baby girl, Jess and Charley were able to hold her this week. I can only imagine how good that must of felt.

A friend, also a mommy of twins, has gone out to help them for a few days and she has put an update on her blog. Also, don't forget to go by Jess' family blog and leave them a few words of encouragement and/or a prayer.

Last but not least, don't forget about the the fundraisers we have going on. Click the donate button to the right of my blog. Every $5 you donate will enter you to win the bracelet, today is the last day. A winner will be selected tomorrow. OR you can order a t-shirt where the proceeds go to the family. Also, your purchase will enter you to win the TUTU!

Tye~dye fun

Jessica has decided she wants to do a tye~dye party for her birthday. So we have been searching a way to make an invitation. I came across this idea:

Use a regular coffee filter

flatten it

color it using Crayola washable markers
(we also used the RoseArt washables, but the color did not come out as bright)

fold it in half

keep folding it until you get a small triangle (3 folds)

drip water on it
(I actually wanted to use a spray bottle, but couldn't find one so we just used a straw)

unfold it

lay it on a flat table to dry

Look at how many we have done!

The plan is to cut them, paste it to the front of an invitation and taadaa! A Tye~Dye invitation!!
I will let you know how that comes out!

Benefit for Tuesday

There is another fund raiser for Tuesday! A dinner! If you are in the Denver area, check out Jess' blog and make plans to join her! Don't forget, you can also donate directly to the family by clicking on the Donate button on the right of my blog!

First day of soccer

Last night was Delaney's first soccer practice. She will be going 1 night a week for an hour. Can I first tell you how stinkin' cute all of the little 4 year olds were in their soccer gear? Anyway, her team is the Dolphins. Delaney did a great job with dribbling through the cones and shooting on goal, but when it came time to "play the game," she didn't do very well. She was more interested in what we were doing on the sidelines. I have since had a little talk with her, and hope that next week is better!

Remember I said she was more worried about what we were doing? Well, this might be why. Look how much fun we were having!
remember, you can click on the pictures to make them larger!
