This is Delaney on her first Christmas! She was 8 months old!

Don't forget to head over to Debi's, at Who Says Eight is Enough, to see who else is playing! I am sure she will be quite shocked that I am. I never do blogs on the weekends. Quite frankly, I haven't blogged(REALLY BLOGGED) in a couple of weeks!

Friday Foto Finish Fiesta

Since Terri is is out braving the craziness of "Black Friday", I thought I would sneak on and put a picture up for her today. She did call earlier so I at least know she is still alive out there, braving the greatest day in american consumerism. My last piece of advice to her was, "be strong and don't forget your mace":) Good Luck Terri! Let's hope the boys like this year's gifts as much as last year's!

PS. Sorry if I didn't follow the rules correctly for the "Friday..." post.

Go Gators!

Scott

Don't forget to head over to Carrie's to see who else is playing

It's All About TUESDAY

She has really proven to be our Super Tuesday! Six months ago, on her first night in the Hospital, she looked like this:

And yesterday, coming home from her 6th and FINAL round of Chemo, she looked like this:

The beads around her neck were presented to her from the the nurses and Doctors at the hospital. Each bead was a different treatment provided to her! WAY more beads than any little girl should ever have!
Although she has come this far and fought many odds, Tuesday's fight is still not over. Sometime after Christmas, she will be admitted back into the hospital to undergo a stem cell transplant and radiation! The few days and weeks following will be very scary for her and her family as she will have little to NO immune system. Please continue to keep them in your prayers. Let the family know you are thinking of them!
Also, remember that Debi, at Who Says Eight is Enough is hosting a Discovery Toys sale in Jess' name. Jess and her family will get all the credits and can do some Christmas shopping for her family. Go to Debi's Fundraiser Blog to read more about it.
I also asked yesterday for prayers for a friend's little boy. They have since found out that was not a stroke, but a severe seizure (epilepsy) causing a temporary paralysis. He is home now, but has to visit a neurologist to see what types of meds they will be putting him on. Please continue to say prayers for him and his family.

Prayers needed, again

It is great to know that I always have you to ask for prayers! Without going into much detail out of respect to the family. I am asking for prayers for the son of a friend of mine. He is around the same age as Sean and Owen and it is believed that he had a stroke last night. Please say a prayer for them that all will come out OK and that there is little recovery time!

Llama Llama

I just wanted to share a little about a couple of books that the boys got for their birthday from our wonderful friends, The Armstrongs. To start with, the boys absolutely LOVE books. Love to sit and flip through them, love to be read to. They will even "read" the books themselves. They have a few books memorized (or at least a few words of some pages) and when you get to certain parts of the book, they will say the words they know. It is really cute.
Anyway, back on topic!

These have got to be two of the cutest books ever! The boys ask for them to be read over and over! Delaney loves to have them read to her as well. In fact, she had show and tell last week and the letter of the week was "L" (so her item had to start with L). She wanted to take this book since Llama starts with L! And Jess even enjoys reading them to the boys and Delaney. So good for all ages!
They are both about baby Llama Llama acting up and Llama Mama explaining to him that if he is just a little patient, then things will go much easier. They both have a very cute message to them.
They are by a wonder writer Anna Dewdney. She has a new Llama Llama book coming out soon and I can not wait to get it!

Great Christmas gift idea for anyone who is looking!

The After Party!

Very few words can describe, so I will just post pictures!

After the boys Birthday party, family and a few friends stayed late for the after party.

While the young kids enjoyed popcorn and a movie (or two)

The teens schooled the the "older" ones on how to use Facebook!

BTW, I need that lesson again, this time while I am NOT drinking appletinis and "chocolate milk"!

Mike showed his "lack" of fire starter skills (obviously NOT a Boy Scout) There is plenty of time, he has two sons!

And we played some darts! (not sure who was standing in her line of fire to take this picture, but I sure as hell wouldn't have been doing that)

And a few more shots from the night!

It's a Party

Saturday, we had Sean and Owen's second birthday party. It was a great time. We did burgers and hotdogs on the grill then just hung out and chatted while the kids played out in the yard.
Will (Scott's cousin) and Tom (Scott's dad) got started on the burgers and dogs before anyone even got here.

Once the food was done, everyone grabbed a plate and a seat.

Even though the boys each had their own plate, they enjoyed sharing with each other.

in the first picture (above), doesn't it look as if Owen is saying "you gonna eat that?"

The older kids took refuge up high

Then we headed inside for Cake and icecream. Once again, my sister out did herself on the cake!

The boys each had their own little football cake.

Then tons and tons of presents!

Thanks to everyone that was able to share this special day with us. It always means a lot to be able to celebrate with family and friends!

****Check back later for pictures of the after party!****

Small celebration

Even though we have a party scheduled for Saturday, we didn't want the boys birthday to go by unrecognized. The girls and I baked cupcakes for Sean and Owen and they got to open one present each.

The T~ball set was OK...

...but the basketball hoop...Now that was a hot item. I am sure there will be many fights to come since it only has one ball. I am going to have to find another ball somewhere!!

I think Sean is a natural! He kept making shot after shot. Even from across the room.
Then it was time for cupcakes.

And just for the record...proof that they all do like each other!
