What's in YOUR backyard?

This spring we put up a bird feeder. We didn't know if it would get any action with all the chaos we have going on in our back yard. Well, the birds totally don't care about us being there. I am filling the feeder up every week. Last week when we were out playing in the water table, there was one of the brightest yellow finches I have ever seen. Look at him...isn't he gorgeous?

Since I mentioned us being outside at the water table, I might as well take this time to post those pictures too!!

Owen tried really hard to climb the slide.

LOL I think you saw my back yard in those rain pictures...dirt, mud...whatever you want to call it.

Those birds are beautiful!
We do have a pair of quail that hang out in the brush and the swallows have nests in what use to be the horse shelter. Then there are these other birds that like to bathe when I water the grass. Havent seen anything colorful though, I dont even know if colorful birds exist in NM. But we do have roadrunners, they arent colorful but like to tease the dogs.

Ok enough ramblings lol

That bird is beautiful!! I saw one the other day in my neighbors yard, but, not quite as bright as that one! Our feeder really needs to be filled, I love bird watching!

I'm dying to hang a birdfeeder in our yard. I love the beautiful birds you are getting. I think when I get back from vacation this will be a priority.
