It really does snow in NC!!

Friday night, early Saturday morning we got snow. And lots of it, by central NC standards! lol In fact, so much that today, Wednesday, is our 3rd day out of school. How much snow, do you ask?

Yep! An entire 3 inches! Woohoo!
Why do you ask are the schools still out? Because our school board can't get their act together and get the school parking lots cleared! When do we make up these missed school days? On Saturdays! Good time, Good times!

These 3 girls have the potential of being T-R-O-U-B-L-E one day when they get older. Wait! Who am I kidding? They already ARE trouble!

The icy street made a GREAT place to sled!

I scream, you scream, we all scream

They heard it in the distance. The kids ran inside screaming "The ice cream truck, the ice cream truck! It's coming, it's coming. ICE CREAAAAAAMMM!!" So outside we went. Money in hand. Waiting....and waiting...and waiting....hearing it in the distance, but still not seeing it (our neighborhood is pretty big). Waiting for what seemed like eternity!

When finally...here it comes...QUICK!...I want to be the first in line....

Even the adults felt the need to rush in(even if it meant knocking the little ones out of the way).

Sean and Owen both got push up. They were yummy.

Delaney got a SpongBob popsicle.

And this is the damage that Owen has done. YUMMY!!

Doesn't it make you just wanna hug him?

Good friends, Good neighbors

Scott and I have considered ourselves very lucky with the neighborhood that we are living in. This is our third house together. The first neighborhood was awesome. We were on a dead end street and everyone was close to the same age with children close to the same age. It was a perfect fit. The second, not so much. The neighbors were NEVER outside and we never really got to know anyone. Even the neighbors right next door!

We have been in this house now for a little over a year and we immediately hit if off with the next door neighbors! We really could not have asked for better neighbors. In fact, I can only think of a couple neighbors I can do without (any neighbors reading, you will know who I am talking about). Saturday night we had an impromptu gathering with two other couples. For Mother's Day (I just realized I never posted about Mother's Day)I got the Margarator. Well, we put it to good use!!

I made the most AWESOME strawberry Daiquries

Thanks to Dorie for the fresh strawberries!

I am sure you all remember this clip from "Encino Man"

Well, Dan I am telling you now.....
